About the Instructor - Teacher



Dr. Heffner has been teaching for 14 years and is equally at home teaching classical and musical theater voice. She currently serves as Visiting Assistant Professor of Voice at Florida State University as well as Adjunct Instructor of Voice at The Baptist College of Florida in Graceville, Florida. Prior to these positions, Dr. Heffner was on faculty at Chipola College, The University of Findlay and Florida State University (graduate teaching assistant).


In addition to collegiate teaching, she has taught private voice for the performing arts programs at Leon High School in Tallahassee, Florida, and the Creative Arts Program at Bowling Green State University in Bowling Green, Ohio.


Dr. Heffner has successfully prepared many students for lead and supporting roles in community, high school and collegiate performances, as well as entrance auditions into high-level music colleges including Indiana Wesleyan University, Belmont University, Bowling Green State University and Florida State University.


Dr. Heffner currently maintains a private studio in Tallahassee, Florida. She is an active member of the Florida chapter of the National Association of Teachers of Singing (NATS).
